Through a partnership with the NYC Department of Health's Newborn Home visiting program, a board certified nurse provides weekly breastfeeding information and support sessions to IMPACT moms. The sessions target pregnant as well as nursing mothers and their babies and are held in IMPACT's warm and inviting recreation area. Each interaction helps reassure moms about the success of their breastfeeding, gives information about breastfeeding techniques, dispels myths, and provides information and support to help prevent and manage common concerns.
